Default no vtec

I got my prelude jdmh22/5speed to around 120 mph and it felt like thats all it had. it was like it maxed out. is there a specific part I should check or replace? all help is greatly appreciated.

If its a JDM ECU i beleive it tops out at 120.

JDM ECU has a governor at 118mph. Some have said you can modify the ECU. Others simply use a USDM, AuDM, or EuDM ECU.

well that sucks. my ecu under my passenger carpet has p13 on it how do you know if its jdm or usdm. I can rev over 7k rpm in any other gear but 5th does that mean my vtec does work but just governed. I love this car and just sold my bike to make this all it can be so all help is appreciated.

looks like you've got all the help you need in here and i think you should get a chipped ecu with a zif socket. there's a lot of nice jdm h22 maps out there that have been enhanced for n/a engines.

yup its governed at 118..do u really need to puttin a n/a car to that fast..its pretty much pointless when ull trap at the trap at about 95

Ive taken my yamaha r1 over 175 mph plenty of times to want my car to be fast too. I live in detroit I have challengers and srt8 chargers always trying to pick on imports. so all help here is appreciated
