neuspeed header prelude
came across a neuspeed header that claims to be for a 97-99 prelude. my question is anyone seen any results from this header. or does anyone own one. plus do you think it will fit a 1993 PRELUDE W/ 2.2L VTEC ?? (WITHOUT MAJOR MOD)

Re: neuspeed header prelude (flashmang)
it should fit just fine. as for performance, its only a header so its not going to produce anything huge. probably along the lines of 3-7whp, basically similiar to gains you'd see from a dc header

Re: neuspeed header prelude (dawalude)
does anyone have impressions on the brand "neuspeed" oddly enough i havent been able to find any information on the neuspeed header.
also ... what is involved in replacing ones header... assumming that one is going to have custom piping for the rest of the exhaust ... what does it take to pull the stock header and slap on the aftermarket one ??
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Re: neuspeed header prelude (flashmang)
ok found some additional info.
they do have separate part numbers for diferent years
88.20.22 for 92-96 vtec
88.20.94 for 97- up non SH models
do you guys think the only difference would be in the way the exhaust connects... i mean with custom exhaust piping would it matter or not ?
im asking because i can get the 88.20.94 part for a discounted price ? but i own a 93 prelude

Re: neuspeed header prelude (flashmang)
there is a dufference in length between the 4th and 5th gen headers. If you are having a custom exhaust made the difference in length can easily be accomodated.
BTW, I believe the neuspeed header is just a "rebadged" dc header. I'm pretty sure DC made and / or make the headers for neuspeed.

Re: neuspeed header prelude (flashmang)
blah you caould get a greddy SS one for less than 400 and it maked alot more power than the DC i proved this on the dyno and the track...but you can listen to who you want btw 3 tenths faster the same day at the track with equal 60s not once but three times...and also almost 3 mph faster...theres my 2 cents

I would just spend a little more money and get a Greddy. My philosophy; Do it right the fisrt time.

Re: neuspeed header prelude (flashmang)
hrmm this is the first time i've never heard of a neuspeed header....well from the looks of it, it'll probably do as good as a DC or gReddy header. the only header that i've seen some ok gains from is the mugen but that costs and arm and a leg

actually holley makes them under contract for neuspeed. so you are looking at a holley airmass header badged nuespeed. they made a production run for the 3rd generation prelude that went south. they later ran a ad on there closeout website for them at a price of 100$. after talking to nuespeed i was told that holley makes all there headers but they are badged nuespeed.
now that you mentioned this im going to email them to see if they have some closeout specials on h23 headers.. if they did have some made for those engines then they may very well be pretty much extinct. and maybe cheap!
oh btw after looking at there website i see they have some 97-01 headers listed for 100$ if you want info on the link pm me.

Re: neuspeed header prelude (BoostedH22Accord)
go for the neuspeed, its a trustworthy company...
anyways back to the whole header thing.... people bithc and complain bout the DC being a posmaybe a F... but really its not that differnet from more of the expensive headers... EXcept price.. sure a FEW horses more from teh expensive ones, but they're all doin the same thing basically.... Dont waste 1000 on a mugen header where ull gain 10-15 horse (guess?).... when with that same money you could get cams, valvespringsa nd retainers, or nitrous oxide.

Re: neuspeed header prelude (DarkspeedVtec95)
They all do the same thing, but some just do it a lot better
And after getting the valvetrain done, the bottlenecking part of the system would be the header.
Drop a few more bucks and get prospeed.

Re: neuspeed header prelude (BoostedH22Accord)
Whats wrong with the Kamikaze headers?
They have a 2.5" collector and i was told by many ppl on this site that they were good.

The kamikaze header is supposedly good for a supercharged h22. There are dynos floating around of the kamikaze on an NA lude where it actually lost HP.

Contact http://www.mjmautohaus.com about the Neuspeed header for a Lude. They pretty much wholesale Neuspeed to businesses, but have hooked up the public before.
My brother in law got his Neuspeed stuff there real cheap a few months ago.
