Default lowering my lude...

i know this may be a dumb question but im not to educated with the ludes yet, i have always owned eg's and they r so easy to lower... but, this lude threw me a curve ball, my upper control arms in the front are hitting up in my wheel well... do i have to do a knuckle conversion? if so wats the best to use?

if you're just lowering to lower, don't go too low. i can't remember how low is too low for a lude, but lower does not always equal better handling.

why would your hood be getting dinged? did you tighten up the nuts on top of the strut?

i lowered it according to what skunk2 thought was right. they are just the springs on stock struts, not coil overs. my hood isnt dinged, it where the upper control arm bottoms out, the top of the ball joint hits when i go over a bump. u can see the dings when u lift the hood, close to where the top of the strut is. and yes, everything is tight lol

Make sure you installed them the right wa,y maybe u didnt put on the bumpstops on the shocks? If all of that is fine then well u might just have to do some slight modification to your shock tower.

something must be installed wrong. cuz theres no way your upper control arm should hit your inner fender well. go through and look everything over maybe get us some pics to see if we can find anything wrong.

if its low enough it will hit.

But for sure your bump stops are either finished or not present. Buy 4 new bump stops and cut the top section off of them. Should be enough to stop your issue.

did u have the spc upper ball joints that are adjustable for camber? if so they have a huge nut on the top to hold them on and they hit the inner fender well pretty nasty.

My upper control arms hit with the stock upper ball joints, but thats cause im very low.

I dont reccoment using skunk2 springs on a prelude, never works. U need perfomance struts with them at least, not stock.
