4G owner
likes: looks, engine
dislikes: weight, all of the BS "options" for the Vtec (power doors/windows, cruise, Sunroof) all add to the weight.

everyone hates the back seat but being youger than 25 and single, i like them for the insurance break, otherwise they suck.

there are a number of reasons but because RWD's are powered by the rear wheels, they do not tend to understeer.

reason being that FWD cars use the front wheels to turn, accel, and brake. RWD's break it up so that the front wheels turn and brake, and the rear wheels push the car. now, being that every tire has a certain traction threshhold, when you give the front tires too much to do, chances are it won't do whatever you're asking it to do as well as if you split up the 2 items between front and rear. also, the weight distribution on a RWD car is split more evenly (usually) than a FWD car, making it handle much more neutral.

there are like a million different reasons why it's better for driving enthusiasts, but i guess i'm thankful that the masses of people (who can't drive for ****) don't have RWD cars.

I find the gen. 4 seats to be really confortable. I dont think anyone specifically mentioned the seats.

And yeah.. i'm not too fond of the weight of the car, but I only daily drive my prelude so I dont really notice it.

I don't find the seats in a 4th gen to be all that comfortable, especially on long drives. Or for that matter, I feel bad for the mofus that have to sit in the back. That's a torture in itself.

i dont understand why someone would even buy a prelude to race or try to be all quick, its simply a sleek looking car that is quick enough for the streets and looks way better than most cars in the same price range.

Euro ludes all have a rear wiper And i believe Canadian ludes as well. If you want i can give you mine, i think it only adds weight... Put some rainX and be happy

Dislikes: position of oil filter, and fuel filter. Access to transmission / clutch. Stock wheels+tires. Plastic clips holding interior panels.
Likes: everything else. Looks come first, still today ppl in the street tend to turn around, and i get lots of praise about the looks of my (stock) lude.

My 4th gen vtec:

Likes:
-It's comfortable, handles like a gokart, and it's pretty quick, too.
-Easy to drive in almost all respects - the clutch has a large grab point, shifter feel is good, etc. You can drive it to work, shifting at 3000rpm and barely touching the gas and it'll be happy to do it. You can then drive home from work shifting at 7600rpm and having tons of fun, it'll be happy to do it.
-Did I mention, it handles like a gokart?
-All things considered, it gets decent fuel economy
-Great braking system, stops on a dime
-It's sexy. I -LOVE- how this car looks.
-Well built. Even with 174,000km, there are no squeaks or rattles.
-General maintainance is easy. You can remove the oil filter in about 10 seconds with your bare hands.
-All things considered, it has plenty of torque compared to most other 4cyl cars
-Oh yeah, it handles like a gokart

I could go on for a LONG time, but we'll just stop there.

Dislikes:
-No storage space whatsoever inside the car. Gloves don't even fit in my "glovebox"
-Back seat is only useful for amputee children. Use it as your storage space..
-Shifter is a tad notchy (this is really knitpicking..it's honestly not bad, but it's not -perfect-, either)
-FWD. Ouch..
-Stock, it understeers like hell when pressed near it's limits - NOT cool.
-Auto down for drivers side window, but not for the pass. side. wtf?
-No cupholder(s)
-I wish I had a moonroof, instead of a sunroof. Ahwell.

That's about it really..

Likes:
-I love the way it looks and the color (CBM)
-Nice inteior dosen't feel as cheap as those in a teg or civic
-The stock rims (base) I like a lot
-The best part- I hit a pole traveling in excess of 60 miles an hour with my prelude. I only had a one scratch on me (air bag gunpower was lodged in my right arm as it was ejected from the steering wheel). For some reason the pole slicedthrogh my front bumper and just ocmpletely stopped as it hit my core support. I was told by the officer if I was driving a ford I would have been sitting next to my engine. I'm glad I hate domestic!

Dislikes:
-only 5 speeds
-lack of part support.
-car rides to high for my tastes (stock)
-the stock suspension is just a bit to cushy for me
-the front overhangs to far have a horrible time pulling into my driveway.
-these are all minusule complaints though. I love my prelude more than anything.
