Jerky Transmission- Is transmission crapping out??
Hello all,
I've been having this tranmission jerk on my 97 Prelude when shifting from 1st to 2nd. It seems like when the RPM hits 3000 the tranny would want to go to
neutral before shifting up to 2nd, and when it shifts the car will
jerk. Depending on the timing of the engagement, the jerk can be both
minor and major. I'm planning on doing a transmission flush soon. It has about 80Kmiles now.
Can please somebody help? Is it a bad clutch disks? Is the transmission crapping out?
Thanks much!

Yes its auto.
Another thing worth mentioning is that when its shifting from 1st to 2nd, there is a noticeable amount of idling..
Any other comments are really appreciated...

no cels? just b/c the engine light isnt on doesnt mean there arent any.
I have p1738 and p0700. That's 2nd gear pressure switch and Manufacturere controlled trans trouble. I bought the switch and found the wire broken upon swapping it. I spliced in a new wire and put in the new switch. I still have the codes though. Soooo I hope you check those things and come out better than me. Check the mechanics svc manual section 14 page 65 i think. good luck. do the flush and fluid change with honda fluid. maybe some lucas a/t treatment?
