For what its worth. No.

Unless you like spun rod bearings. Why bump this thread to say that?

nothing new to really report. it seems like every chance i get to start working on it, the military deploys me. i have my second child on the way so the funds are getting low to insufficient. but id much rather have kids with the cars sitting on stands.

im still in the market for ignition parts. distributor wires plugs. id like to try and get a manifold bought but it seems like this race season is a full rebuild year for me.

also having issues with the new manual boost controller....think i got ripped off. the boost setting on the tune is 15lbs and running off the waste gate is higher than the tune.

so if i have to retune and start over...im going to take this year and rebuild as much as possible before the dyno.

Thanks for the update and glad to see you're sticking with it. Good luck! I think rosko has a distributorless system that uses K-series coil packs. That might be a good way to go if you need new parts anyway.

so after spending the last few days researching the coil pack and the kits available i have a few questions.

i see hondata has their product and would be nice to run. i have the s300 now. this would just plug and play off of it. i have a few question about running this over changing to the alternative.

i see it recommends parts and certain coils. has anyone tried to use different coils with the s300? i could get a set of rx7 coils pretty cheap.

does the h22 spark plug cover work? Rosko you making a cover?

also i hate the bulky looks of the distributor and notice it doesnt work with the aem eps. is their something out or in the works to remove that and cap it?

is there better kits out? would it benefit me to run the aem epm on a different management? or will other kits work in the hondata?

Cars running. Got it all back together. New alternator battery fuel pressure regulator. Running like a champion on 15 lbs again. Still have an exhaust leak to fix. The flex pipe has a huge hole in it.

Goal is to hit the track in a few weeks and try for better times.

Good to see you back and sticking with it. Any changes to the car in the last few years?

Beside replacing some stock parts and changing to a better fpr. Nothing has changed in the set up. I plan to buy a better manifold and swap to coil packs using the Honda take system this fall.

Well hopefully it all goes well!

There are a few options out there now for coil pack holders, Kaizenspeed just released one in the last week or so actually.

Finally starting to get time and money for this project again. Ordered the hondata cpr kit. Just need to buy coil packs. Which coils are beat to run? I see the recommended coils on the websites but can i pull coils out of a junked k car and use them? Seems way cheaper.

Also looking to order a new manifold. I never got my hands on the lovefab i planned to ordered years ago.

9 months ago i put a new fuel reg in it. Changed out the alloy fittings they croated due to e85. Running brass. Also put in a boost gauge.

Might want to check in the drag or FI sections on what coils are best, but I think most guys are using K coils from an RSX or TSX now? Rosko/ KS tuned have covers to hold them down as well.

What manifold is on there now? From the work I have seen, there are quite a few good options out there, Lovefab still being 1 of them. Are you planning on keeping the same positioning, or doing new piping as well?

Im looking to try and keep the position the same. However im opened minded to the concept of re doing it. Only if it is worth the price and gains.

Im running a log manifold currently.

Ill probably just buy a swt of rsx packs

Ah that could make it tough. If you do the Lovefab mini me you may be able to keep it close, but I would assume that any manifold change will need some fab work on that end. Should be able to control boost much better, and get more flow, so a new manifold is a big plus!

Yea. I sent lovefab a message since their site is down and never recieved a reply. Im in talks with rosko on his coil.pack plate. Bought a set of tsx packs from a member here. Out of a k24.

Should be coming together soon.

Finished up the manifold swap. Got the CPR left to do. Just moved to Georgia and haven't found much E85 or a good shop to take this car to for a tune. guess it will sit around longer than expected.
