Default honda security system won't let engine start. Need help please!!!!

When I try to jump start the car, the alarm goes off and I can't turn it off and can't start the car. Is there a code that I need to start it? I was reading up on a immobilizer but don't understand what it is. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks.

haha i ran into this problem at work today on a 96 accord...there should be a bypass button somewhere near the fusebox underneath the drivers dash, hold the button and crank the car, it should start.

if not, hold the key in the start position and have someone connect the ground on the battery, it might just crank for a sec but keep trying. the car will start but the alarm will still be going off...then you can drive it somewhere and have someone else mess with it

go under the dash and unplug the security system. should be a black box. If not you can always push start it. (if its manuel.)

dont you need to get the little red key from honda to unlock the car if the alarm system has frozen it?

that "little red key" will delete any programming the car has for the immobilizer system.
and your key will not work again unless honda reprograms your car...
try setting the alarm off and putting the ket in the drivers side lock and hold it in the unlock position. not sure if that will work but it won't hurt
