have spark and fuel comming but car won't start
hey i have a 92 honda prelude Si. This is what happened. I drove the car early morning and it was workin fine. Then later after returning from work tried to start the car but it didn't start. It cranks it has fuel comming it has sparks as well and i can't seem to find out wht is wrong with my car. So i got my car towed home and i called the NRMA(road patrol mechanic) and they said the spark comming from the coil is good but after it comes out of the distributor he says it is not as good as that from the coil. So do u think its my distributor or something else.
Guys pls help me on this.
PS few days ago my car wouldn't stay at idle but later it was fine.

Cap and Rotor = ... If you haven't changed them at all, i'm sure this is the problem. They are super easy to replace and together, they cost less than $25. I would definitely start there like others noted above.

Re: (sikluder)
what year is your car? check the ignitor... its inside the distributor. take out the cap and rotor and the flat piece is the ignitor

Re: (sikluder)
open up your distributor cap, there should be two wires that screw onto it. If you have a voltage check light. Try if there's any power going to your ignitor. If yes, then possibly your distributor gone out or you have skipped some teeth of the timing belt. Distributor is a common issue. But yours can be different.

also check the module. Mine went out yesterday! I did everything you did, but forgot to check that, mine cost $80 at checker

ok guys after all the hassel. I couldn't fix the car so i finally towed it to a mechanic and found out that it was my timing belt. It has skipped couple of teeths. Luckly no engine damages. So now my car is running perfectly fine. Thanx for the help anyways.
