H22 - vtec not working
I am looking at buying a swapped integra from a friend, he didn't do the swap himself so he doesn't really have a lot of info on the car. Shortly after he bought the car, the bottom end let go and he had to rebuild the motor. Since the rebuild, the vtec hasn't worked. We took the car to somebody we trust with wiring honda swaps and he said the wiring is not the problem. We also swapped the vtec solenoid out for another one and that didn't fix the problem either. My friend thinks that maybe something like a screw or a bolt was left out when the motor was rebuilt, but he's just guessing.
If anybody can shed some light I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys

most likely the oil control orfice problem if its really an oil pressure problem. Test oil pressure in the head at the vtec solenoid according to factory specs. Worst case scenario is your going to have to pull the head to remove the oil control orfice, or run an external oil supply from the block to the head like lsvtec's.
