Engine swap problems
Purchased an engine from JDM TIGER JAPANISE.COM and got WRONG YEAR MODEL ENGINE.
Have been told that I have to need to buy a computer and wire harness. are there any numbers to identify what I have to keep me from buying the wrong harness and computer?

Check out the picture in that thread, it will give you a date the motor was made. If you give us more info on what you have for a car, we can tell you what you need.

Re: Engine swap problems
I am third party don't have all info, but the car is a 2000 and the engine they recieved has a different dist. than the one removed. I'll have to find out any more info than that. I think that the engine they received is from a 2001 Accord ex. Don't have any place to hook up a crank position sensor on the new engine. Have been told that the only way to make this car run with the new engine is to replace the computer and wire harness. She is already $1500.00 plus into the swap and isn't Loaded so she is trying to get it strait without too much more expence. Also dosen't want to be misled again. What info more than what I have provided do you need and where do I find it?

Re: Engine swap problems
On the motor you were sold, find the engine code and the date stampings and report back if you can.
engine code can be found here:
Also im going to assume that it is a 2000 prelude we are working with.

i no longer even call tiger Japanese when i have customers call in for prelude engine stuff they waste more of my time than customers who give me wrong information. whenever possible we use hmotorsonline.
