DRL light..p. side high beam not working
'92 SR
I have a steady DRL light on until I turn my headlights on. Passenger side high beam doesn't work. I tired replacing the bulbs and the other side works fine. I switched bulbs, still nothing. Wires aren't loose and everything appears to be plugged in tight. Fuses are good. I took a power tester to it, and it's getting no power at the socket. Are the DRL lights linked to the high or low beams??
What I would like to know is the actual cause of this. I have searched all over and some say it's the drl relay solder points that are shot. I'm clueless when it comes to electrical. Please let me know what needs to be done to fix this.

Re: DRL light..p. side high beam not working
And where is the relay located exactly?? Some say drivers side, some passenger. It's really frustrating when you don't know which gen they are referring to. Please shed some light on my problem.

The DRLs are linked to the high beams.
The problem may very well be a faulty DRL control unit.
The DRL control unit is located under the front passenger foot area. You pull up the carpet, remove the ECU cover plate/kick panel. The DRL control unit is to the left of the ECU and above the fan timer unit. The DRL control unit has a 14P harness connector.
The Honda part # should be 38260-SM4-C03.

Thanks for the info and providing the part number, much appreciated I see this problem is quite common. I'm just going to buy a new one and have the specialist install it.

Re: DRL light..p. side high beam not working
So on my way to Honda I noticed to DRL dash light light was off, immediately I was thinking the dash bulb burnt out. I get out and check the lights for the hell of it and the DRL's were working again!! I clicked the high beams and they worked on both sides as well.

Sounds like a typical Honda relay with the dry solder issue lol, either grab a new one, or get one from a junkyard, if it happens again.
I keep a spare main relay in my car just for that reason, except the main relay is a bit more important than drl's.

Re: DRL light..p. side high beam not working
Yeah it is hahah. It was just weird how the lights worked all of a sudden because it was on steady for the 2 months I've owned it. The DRL light came back on this afternoon, but that's alright, I'm going to Honda tomorrow to get other parts as well. They actually have one in stock too. I'd rather just get a new one for peace of mind.
