No, I'm not dumb but I think you are trying to act smart but failed. Getting rid of the knock sensor is just an action, but for what reason? Trying to resolve an existing issue or just didn't want to spend the money to buy a good knock sensor? Is the ECU knock system faulty and how was it determined?

I have disabled the knock system on my ECU after some datalogging, and positively identified the main cause for the intermittent hesitation at different rpm range. Additionally, I've also installed a separate knock mointoring system using a different knock sensor for tuning so the engine will run properly.

I asked the question because I might be interested in helping. However, smart people like yourself ruin the forum.

I cut my knock sensor wire at the ecu. It took care of my problem.

I don't think cutting the knock sensor wire should fix the problem.

I think I have an extra knock sensor if you wanted to purchase it.

I would like to read more about what you did here. Keeping a functional knock sensor post tuning sounds like a great idea for a DD.

Last chipped P28 I sold (actually a P06 converted to P28) only went for $75. Who's selling them for $200? And who's buying them for $200??
