i got a 88 prelude stock

well alrite i got my car checked out cuse it has had s3 problem... when the s3 lite flashes the speedometer... the mechanic said.. "there is a computer chip failure in ur prelude" n then he told me it was gonna cost me like 400 bux to fix it... also i hav had probs wit stallin n the car just shuttin down on me then i got to restart it n it works ... but anyways i was wondering if i fix this "computer chip" will this fix my stallin n stoping prob. cuse i dotn give a f*** about my speedometer i can guesitmate for 400 bux ... just want to stop stallin...

is there any thing in a car named a computer chip even?

ah it is a mode on ur transmission... it is an automatic prelude... it has d then blow d there is a s3 n s4 in the same spot... ah kinda hard to explain... but the s3 lite flashes n the car is still in drive n it works okay just that the speedometer at that point stops working and the car sometimes stops ... not that often though
