Bolt size?
ok, does anyone have any suggestions on how to find a bolt size? I have a h23 block that apparently the crank bolt has been re-threaded and the stock bolt does not work with it any longer.
At first I thought maybe the threads have been stripped but that is not the case. The stock bolt slides in and the new threads barely touch the threads on the bolt. So if anyone can give me an idea on what size(s) I need to look for, it would be appreciated.

Re: Bolt size? (CHK4TIX)
Well I guess there are 2 different size crank shaft bolts starting in 1993 and I would assume I need the larger one
in case anyone else would like to know
90017-PT0-003 BOLT-WASHER (14X33)
90017-PY3-003 BOLT-WASHER (16X49)

Maybe one was for the f22 and the other was h23/h22?</TD></TR></TABLE>
if you do a part search on one of the many places it actually comes up just as I posted it for the h22 and the h23 in 1993.....does anyone have an extra. lol

I know I have an extra one, I'll look today and measure it if I can find it.

Re: (mgags7)
Ok I finally got the bolt I needed from the dealer. Just incase someone wanted to see the difference, here they are
the 16x49 bolt is on the left, the more common 14x 33 bolt on the right

Good stuff, never knew </TD></TR></TABLE>
actually, there are two different sizes FROM the factory (maybe they messed up and its their solution) . If you look up the part numbers depending on which year you use, it has the two different part numbers listed.
However, The larger sized bolt is common in accords, acura RL's, and even Honda marine engines.
