Default Bare essentials

Okay guys i got a 5th gen that i bought and it doesnt run. I have already begun rebuilding an h23 into an h22 by using h23 block and h22 internals and plan on going turbo. What I want to know is how can I get the car to run and run successfully and reliably by only having the bare essentials like motor tranny starter alternator and fuses. What can I get rid of and how would I go about doing it. I might even consider going to obd0 just for even less electrical work. Is this even possible or am I better off with standard wire tuck and relocating things etc. any help or advice is appreciated.
