Default 4th gen - hooking the clock up to the dimmer switch.....?

ok, so when you turn the headlights on the clock dims automatically... has anybody tried splicing a wire into the wire on the gas/temp gauge so that the clock works on the dimmer with those? I'm one of those people that always has my headlights on and it sucks not being able to see the clock in the daytime because it's all dimmed out!

Why have your lights on during the day anyway? Do you have HID's your trying to show off or something? Just use your parking lights if your trying to look the part while driving during the day.

^^^Yes, I have HIDs, no, I'm not trying to show off. I'm one of those people that just always uses my headlights, no reason why, just habit. Even with parking lights on, the clock still dims anyway...

So there have been a couple threads about it? Can I get a link, please? I searched for awhile before I made the thread and had no luck with anything....
