30k mile service--DIY or take it to Honda?
My lude is actually a bit overdue for her 30k mile service, she has 38k and had 33k when I bought her. Regardless, is it worth it for me to take her to Honda? I had the car inspected by Honda before I bought it, and there was nothing seriously wrong.
From my research, it appears that much of the 30k service are items that were performed by Honda before purhcase. Here's what they do (according to Yahoo's car info):
As for the few replacement/adjustment items, I can do those myself. So, is there really any reason why I need to spend $290 on the 30k mile service?

I suppose the only area I might have trouble would be adjusting the engine valve clearances.

no need to bring the car for anything unless it's major service such as timing belt/water pump/tensioner. or even valve adjustment. some people can do these things themselves but feel more comfortable having someone else do it.
all the other maintenance checks are all bs. there's a reason why some hondas go 200k with no major service. reliable cars even for dumb owners.
