2001 vti-r ABS light, codes 51/53
So i have had these codes for a while, but the light doesn't always come on.
It might come on every time i drive for a week than not come on for a few days, or every other time i drive its on/off...
Need to fix this as the car is up for sale :/

It sounds like something in the abs pump is stuck open or has failed completely. I'm not a professional mechanic but if I was trying something I would disconnect all the lines going into the abs pump and make sure its free of anything that could be in there. Maybe even trying giving it a firm smack or two with a rubber mallet to try to free up whatever could be stuck. Clean up with brake clean or parts cleaner. Do research to make sure cleaner your using is safe for everything inside the abs unit and hook up and bleed the brakes.

The pump is dead, get a new or used one and you should be good to go.
