Summer gear, need some advice
So as it stands now, all my gear and leathers are essentially made to keep me warm in the fall and winter when I do most of my riding, and I've essentially given up riding during the late spring/summer completely, being that I would rather not ride for a few months than start riding without the proper equipment.
I'm getting tired of not riding during the summer and I've managed to save up some decent money, so I'm looking for any advice I can get on good gear for the summer when it's normally 95-104 degrees outside, I'm just looking for a decent jacket, pants, gloves and helmet under $1500 that can keep me pretty cool in this killer heat.

Re: Summer gear, need some advice
when i bought my first bike, it came with a textile jacket. i wouldn't want to fall down a set of 5 stairs in the thing.
call me paranoid, but i won't ride without my leather jacket, boots, full face, pants, and gloves. i ride like a total p@$$y, and i can't go out not geared up. my thinking is " if it's too hot to wear my gear, it's too hot to ride." seeing my family again is more important than riding my bike without the proper gear.
maybe i'm just old.
also, good boots are $200. would you pay $200 to keep your feet?
i know i'm mostly preaching to the choir but i hope i can point at least one person in the right direction.

I don't think there's anything wrong with mesh or textile if it's a decision between that and a t-shirt (which it definitely is when you're riding in 90-100 degree weather).
Gloves make one of the biggest differences to me, because my leather gloves don't breathe at all. Right now I have Alpinestars Raven gloves for summer:

I have a Speedrag (I think they went out of business) mesh jacket, but I'm thinking about getting one of these one-piece mesh suits:

Ok, you're paranoid...and old, I've heard.
Buy a pressure suit, fully armored but very breathable...you will look a little funny wearing it on a sportbike though...
Also...good boots are $80-$130, FANTASTIC boots are $200+. You just gotta look for the closeouts...

The dainese Laguna Seca jacket is a perfect summer leather. It flows like a textile because of the perforation but offers superior proctection. I don't know if the brand is still available but Oxtar boots are an affordable boot option with plenty of protection and also breathe pretty well. As for summer gloves, the most comfort will come from wearing a short glove because of the added air making it up the sleeve of your jacket. I like the alpinestars smx gloves for summer. Affordable, Leather where it counts, and good knuckle protection. If you are not satisfied with the protection they offer, I recommend the alpinestars gpx gloves (more expenseive but still flow air well with added protection). As far as pants go, I don't really have much to say there as I usually hit the jeans up in the summer. I think the kevlar jeans are mostly a waste of money, but that's just my opinion.

I really like my Alpinestars textile jacket, and it stays pretty cool in the hot stuff. Also, my hands never seem to get too hot in my black Held Phantom gloves, but I think that might just be me.

I really like my Tourmaster Intake Mesh jacket and Air Venture Mesh overpants. I wear these with a pair of Nankai gloves that are heavily vented and it works as well as a t-shirt and jeans. In real heat, I wear shorts under the pants and when I push my knees out, the boys get some AC
As for a helmet, they'll all be hot. My white one does feel cooler than the darker ones though.
