Schu is the tie down ****! (I use 4 because the truck I haul with has a 5th wheel hitch. So the rear tire sits on one of the brackets and makes me feel uneasy using 2.)

I've been looking FOREVER for one that isn't beat or wasn't owned by some idiot. It might be a little on the high side but sometime you gotta pay extra to get what you really want. Plus I NEVER see yellow/black around here.
Yeah I plan on taking it easy until I am comfortable. I do plan on hitting up some track days once I feel like I'm ready.

nice bike!
thats a pretty good price. i paid $5000 for my 2004 gsxr600 with rattle canned fairings, but this was also back in may when the riding season was just starting.

Re: (Willybeen)
To the OP, nice bike. Enjoy
I took the MSF course as well. Good stuff for new riders in my opinion. Money worth spending.
I just picked up a '00 929 as my first. IMHO, motorcycles while all different can all kill you real quick; 600, 750, 1000, whatever.
Respect for the machine is the most important. Knowing what does what and taking small steps as a new rider, not trying to ride outside your skill level and you can toss your leg over anything and progress.
Have fun and be safe

Nice Bike!
I cant say **** other than if you have enough self control, you can start on a 600 without a problem. I started on a modded R6, moved to Gixxer, and now my 07 RR. Never had a problem until doing a run and encountering mud in the road which put me down. Good luck and be safe.
