I sold my R6 for the D675
I cant explain how awesome the bike.
Its considered a middleweight bike, not really in the 600 class.
(Waiting for my 1098 to arrive too)

Re: (4LugR)
both are great bikes, but, the R6 is more of a track bike. then again, the RR is a track bike too..........but, i would a 600RR on the streets over a R6 anyday.................the R6 revs too high and doesnt have a midrange like the RR...........like 600's have mid and bottom anyway

screw what your friends have. unless your friends agree to buy you fairings and stator covers and all the other stuff that gets broken when a bike falls.

i have full coverage at 22.................130 bucks every 3 months...........and its my 1st bike..............

add to that:
livably comfortable so you can ride for more than 20 mins without wanting to go back home and quit before you even get to where you going = girly
sore wrists and bruised kidneys = manly

Re: (bad-monkey)
does the zx6-r have any midrange compared to the rr and r6. my city is full of good roads but the bike will see mostly outer city and suburb riding ..wich was one reason i was lookin at the daytona 675 but considering it might have a higher ownership cost afar as mods and up keep. that and it looks damn good

Re: (Felt.2)
My first bike was a 2003 R6 and it suited me fine. Just ride within your limits. I'm not sure what year bike you are looking for, but here are links to the 600cc shootouts as written by Motorcycle USA:
2003: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/...ID=77
2004: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/...=1290
2005: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/...=1933
2006: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/...=3301
Read those, test ride each bike yourself, and make a decision. Good luck.

I have both, they both have the same seating position. Like I said before the bikes are identical.
