Default What oil to use in 2012 Fit

I am a new member and I just had my first oil change in my 2012 Fit at the Honda dealer. They used a bulk oil 0W-20 full synthetic but do not know what brand. Since I usually change my own oil, I stopped by the parts dept. to check on the price. They only carry Honda oil 0W-20 in a synthetic blend, not full synthetic, at a cost of over $10/qt.. They did say that a lot of people use Mobil 1 full synthetic that they also sell for over $15/qt. I would like to find out what some of you use. Also, does anyone know if it is ok to switch between full synthetic and a synthetic blend? Will appreciate your input.

Depends on where you are located...In SoCal, Honda uses Eneos 0w20 Full Synthetic or Conoco-Phillips 0w-20 Full Synthetic oil. On the shelf, Honda has Conoco-Phillips in the bottle. This differs in different areas. Your second question, yes you can go from Full to Blend (although mixing oils is not advised, due to decreasing the efficiency of the full synth, it is not harmful). Full synthetic oil will allow longer drain intervals over the blend version. Stick with the 0w-20 and use a quality brand.
