Default Eibach here I come!

Tomorrow morning I'm waking up at the butt crack of dawn to drive out to the Eibach Springs facility in Corona so they may use the car for R&D purposes. In addition to springs, they will look at what they can do as far as sway bars are concerned. I know they're gonna love that rear suspension setup!

I'll keep everyone updated as I get updates myself.

dropped Sadie off this morning. For now they are just going to work on some springs and see how they sell and what the market for the Fit will be like. Based on that I might have to bring the car back in a month or two for shocks/swaybars.

ok talked to the R&D guy and he said that they are going to heat set the stock springs today so they can check ride height and any clearance issues. From there they will go ahead and make some prototypes that should be ready in a few weeks.

update:

got my car back yesterday with lowered heat set stock springs. The sportline drop will be 1.5" and the pro-kit will be around 1".

as far as spring rates it's still too early to tell. they want people to be able to use their springs with stock shocks so look for a 20-30% increase of the stock spring rates. I believe they will also be progressive rates like other Eibach springs which will give a good ride at low speeds but increase when pushed harder. I know that you can order different spring rates for different applications though.

they will have some prototypeS ready in a few weeks and I'll let everyone know how they feel.

I also have some pictures of the car lowered at the Sportline (1.5") level. I'll try to get them up later today.

Thanks for the update! I was hoping for a drop around 1.75"-2" since they come in 4x4 mode, but anything is great at this point. Now lets see those pics!

ok here are some better pics:

Side shot

rear 3/4 shot

front wheel

rear wheel

the gap looks slightly larger due to the camera being tilted slightly upward in the pictures.

thats really not that bad considering your car in the pics has 14" wheels with a horrible offset. i think that height would be good for a DD with a nice set of 16" wheels/tires on it... and keep us updated on a possible release on those springs. Thanks
