Safe 2015 Honda CR-V jacking points
I have a new 2015 CR_V and want to safely jack the front or rear with a floor jack, I did a search and I can't come up with a definite answer. There is a spot right at the front under the radiator with the plastic bumper cover cut away to expose a frame member. Can I place the floor jack under there? Also just behind the engine there is a metal frame member, actually its the only substantial frame member there that's not covered with plastic shields. Can I jack in the center of that? At the rear there's a tow hook. Can I place the jack under that hoop and jack. And further in there's a metal frame member with suspension components attached. Can I jack from the center of that?. That's the only four possible places that I can see to jack but I need to know for sure if they are safe to use. Also the places next to the four wheels where the factory scissors jack goes seems awful flimsy. It is a metal tab sticking down and the scissors jack has a flat top. Won't this tab buckle if I jack up the CR-V? It looks like this l and if the jack is underneath it will be like this l

id suggest jackpoints? lol is this your first car?
those points arent made to fail or buckle the point of having the ridge edge id assume is to put all the pressure in a smaller area so the factory sccisor jack is almost idiot proof that way
if you have a hydro jack i always choose the rear tow hitch thats a good point
edit:
please use some sort of jack stand or wood or concrete block thats solid any time under the car.

I also emailed Honda Canada asking the same question and they replied with a pictorial.
For the 2015 CR-V they say you can safely jack from that rear tow hook (loop). Just place the floor jack directly under that hoop and raise the vehicle.
From the front they show a place just behind the front bumper where the plastic is cut out exposing the jack point. Always use safe jack procedures and jack stands of course. There were two other reinforced spots under the chassis that I thought I could use but I will be only using these two Honda recommended jack points to be on the safe side.

Actually that info is no longer included in the owners manual (for the 2015 model year at least). It only shows the lifting points for use with the Honda scissors jack which are located next to each wheel. It doesn't show the two under chassis jack points for use with a floor jack which you may want to use in order to raise both front wheels or both rear wheels at the same time.
