Won't start/replaced thermostat!
Hey Guys,
You need to know this! I replaced the thermostat on my '88 CRX Si and now it won't start. Actually, found the problem-too simple to believe!
Bought the old car, let's replace stuff to make it reliable. The hoses should be replaced and the thermostat with the coolant. There is a factory ground wire under the rear thermostat housing bolt, easy to miss when you pull the bolt and lift the wiring harness out of the way to install the new thermostat. This is the ground wire to the ECU-leave it off and there is no spark. Place the ground tab under the bolt and it runs like normal.
You will find it only if you know about it! I can't believe Honda would do this to us!
Use this knowledge for good.
Sorry, I had to vent; I don't want anyone else to go through this!
