wiper arm rod length
Hi everyone, my friend's EF sedan was purchased used and right from the get go the wipers never wiped the full width of the windshield.
I took the cowl cover off and looked at the wiper motor and I could clearly see that the wiper motor spins freely (after I disconnected the connecting wiper rod). Upon closer inspection I could see that the little ball joint on the connecting wiper rod that goes from the motor to the center link was missing and hence why it wasn't working properly.
I went to an auto wrecker to get a replacement rod but I failed to notice if the length of the rod from a hatchback was the same as that of the sedan. I installed it and although the wipers kind of work better it doesn't sweep the entire windshield.
Rather than trying to take everything out again I thought I would ask you experts whether or not the wiper rod arm on the sedan is longer than that of the hatchback.
I just can't figure out why its not wiping properly.
Thanks
