Default What synchros fit into the JDM S1 Tranny?

I was looking to rebuild my S1 transmission since it is grinding 3rd and 5th, but didn't know where to find the parts for it since I am not sure what parts (synchros) here in the US are interchangeable w/ the JDM S1 tranny. So my question is: does anyone know which parts and off what transmission I might be able to use to fit into the S1? Will Integra LS synchros work? I prefer not to use the Y1 transmission because I'm happy w/ the S1 gearing ratios. Thanks in advance.

I'd like to know also. I've heard conflicting stories.

Hey JDM_DOHC_SiR, are you sure you can only use the JDM ones? I read on here before that you could use the LS (usdm S1) syncros. Does anyone know for sure that you need to use the JDM ones??

I remember reading on here about some guy who used syncros from the usdm S1, and he had his JDM tranny working. I don't remember who it was, but I do remember reading it. He mixed around some parts and had it working for months. If anyone remembers, please let me know.

Thats a interesting fix... But a half assed one. ..I would rather put the real deal in ..100% sure that it works..but then again.. I don't like doing Stuff more than one time to get it right

Hey B16hf, I always put it in first and then reverse, and it never grinds.
Basically, come to a stop. Put it in neutral, then first, and then reverse.
Try doing that, and see if it helps.

Also, I'll check out that site.
