i concur. no one's born citing haynes manuals. we all start out as amatuers.

the answer to your question... no i don't think you'll find a 1.5 with vtec. there is the vx engine though. i think it is 1.5, but it has vtec-E (for economy). gives you good gas mileage, but i'm afraid you'll sacrifice a little power. also there may have been a european 1.5 with v-tec, but you're not likely to find that in the states.

geez just leave the poor guy alone he had a question so he asked it if you dont like it just ignore it nobody twisted your arm to read his post

and 91CivicHatchback if you want my opinion on a swap go b-series you'll be much happier but if money is an issue there are some d15s with vtec but just look around see what you can afford and go from there

ok to specify,

d15b is jdm sohc vtec
d15b2/7/etc are non vtec sohc

if the motor is from an ex civic its d16z6 which is sohc vtec, and very good motor. and it woulb be a direct swap into your hatch, you can use the stock mounts and axles, but youll need to change your ecu...

if its a cx/vx/dx its a d1b? non vtec very slow motor and it wouldnet be worthswapping into your car... hope this helps

ps we were all noobs but get to know the search feature to save you from further events...

its probablly got a d15b7 which is non vtec and about 102hp and yes will work in your 91 civic....if its a dx you have to convert to mpfi and you could prolly just run a si ecu

if its been swaped for a d15b VTEC then its possible.

but if it says VTEC on the valve cover. then yes. heh

Just look for the Vtec solinoid.

Dont worrie about acesnyper. Most of his 1274 posts are BS. Always fucin with someone. He feels very knowledgeable for maybe knowing the answer to this question. In reality he drives a Cavalier. A 1992 one. White, with aem stickers. And a scooter. Also white. Prolly hasnt been laid in years, if ever and now hes taking it out on you.

Silly ******, dicks are for chicks.

and also a reason why most hate honda-tech......there noobs they need to learn so we have to teach them, we all were noobs once too....i hate when people say search its been covered a billion times, well if its been covered that many times is another one gonna hurt, if your not gonna answer peoples questions and help them out then dont post, simple as that. to you

oh yes you the one who mocked me for track racing and wanted to race for slips with a non running car

whats even sadder you can't even copy my S/N right and keep trying to sound cool. Take your ****** *** back to the mall and go back to hitting on and drugging 12 year olds and feeling them up after they've passed out.

I just don't get how many people get burned on HT...
Yet more and more still come and post the same repetitive question?
If HT has such a bad reputation for burning people, then why are the same exact people still coming here for information?

With some things I can understand but I look at it like this picture you and I are sitting in a class together both reading doing some work,
You: Hey man.
Me: Yo whats up?
You: When did world war 2 end? *Now as you say this you are holding a history book with nice index its right in front of you where all the authors publishers editors etc all agree and its RIGHT AT YOUR FINGER TIPS yet you blow this off*
Me: die in a fire and i'm sleeping with you girlfriend.
You: your mean.

Now replace that little story with the internet and search feature instead of an index and you might see others point of view.
