Ok my girls car is just started to stumble. 89 civic 4dr

Yesterday the car died on us, turned out to be the the damn scew that holds the dizzy rotor on fell off. Now befoer the car died yesterday it had a strong odor couldn't figure out from where.

Today my girl told me that the car was stumbling while she was on the freeway. On her way back home she called me and said the car wouldn't pass 25mph.

I started it up and let it idle for awhile(10mins) The car died. I start it backlet it idle for 20 mins didn't die, I try to rev it and it wouldn't go past 2k rpm I rev at WOT it stumbled and popped and reved to 5k rpm.

I took it for a drive after and noticed that it stumbles lightly under normal acceleration but can go to 60mph, but when trying to go WOT stubles and the tach goes nuts 2k to 6k WTF. There are no CEL'S I did the o2 removal to relieve back pressure if the cat is bad and same thing happened again.

Before all this 3 days ago I basically put 40 bux in the within 2days at e, just drive to work and home about 14miles both ways.

I keep the car maintained. Just changed the oil,plugs,wires,cap,rotor and oil filter. The car is ran with 89 gas since the day we got it, I just changed the fuel filter about a month and a half ago.

Timing has been checked and is dead on.

WHat can be the problem
Dizzy, Cat, injector???? Plz help:wavey:

Strong odor could have come from the dizzy. Id bet your problem lies in there. Id get that thing replaced.

Oh 1 thing I left out, the whole muffler was smoking like oil was on it, but I have no leaks what so ever

Still sounds like a dizzy problem. What color smoke? Low oil or antifreeze?

Oil and anti freeze are fine.

The smoke wasn't coming from the out of the tail pipe, it was like I ran over water and the whole exhaust got wet type smoke, but it wwasn't wet and water wasn't near by at all. Basically like a begining stage of a fire type smoke
