Yeah, temp, I thought you had a b16? You have that silver jdm looking crx, right? I absolutely love that color, and what you have done with that!!! Ryan

PS, I would also like to know what you new setup will be.

haha cali is stupid like that. the dmv requires some older civic's or crx's to go to a "test-only" station and some to go only to any smog shop. they do this at random.......so i've heard from my friend who is trying to become a smog tech.

d00d its not just "civics and CRX's" its ALL cars, new or old, they send cars to test only stations completely at random

if you have a engine swap to make it legal you have to get your car bar certified. to do so the engine has to come from a car your year or more recent it also has to come with same tranny and ecu for it to be even able to be accepted for being bar certified. just use search and search for BAR certified and something will come up explaining what to do.

the test itself is only like $50, and that includes a tailpipe test good for 2 years. After that, you just go anywhere you want to smog it. It's not that expensive or hard to do.

50 dollars if your car will pass, but when you got a fully built engine + turbo - catalytic converter .... then the price changes....
