I thought the decrease in surface area/rotor-to-pad contact would mean less stopping power? Or does physics work some other way I don't yet know about...

I know the difference in the metal for the rotors and brake pads material make a difference. I have interga da front/rear disc so my brakes are bigger then stock already. I know the Hawk HP+ are more aggressive then the HPS pads ( slight upgrade over stock pads ) but you will have to deal with more brake dust
