Well you want to get more air/fuel into the engine so how about a CAI, big bore throttle body and larger intake manifold w/shorter/larger runners. Now that the engine is fed plenty of air, consider upgrading to CTR or aftermarket cams so the engine can use that air. A nice header and chip will top it off. On my M3, I was able to go from 155rwhp to 209rwhp on the stock engine with these type of mods. Since the B16 is a high rever, it needs to breathe and the 1st Gen B16 intake isn't upto par.

For power thats reliable and there all the time for a daily driver i would go with some cams and a lightweight flywheel. They both will provide a night and day differance in driving and power.
Afermarket headers really aren't much gain at all on a B16A. Maybe 2hp at the wheels for most makes.
