Default Question about D16A8

I have a D16A8 (JDM ZC DOHC 1.6)

Can I put a D16Z6 or a D16Y8 head on my ZC without any problems? Will it bolt on without any fabrication, and would it work? If so, how well would it work in comparison to the stock ZC head? I know I would need to either get a reprogrammed ECU or a VTEC controller to actually get VTEC to work..

Thanks for the help and info

Thats where I got the information at. Is there any way to turn it into a VTEC or no? If so , what would I need?

does it say D16A8 or ZC?

i'm positive that u have a ZC due to ur valve cover. D16A8 does not have that valve cover only ZC dohc motors do.
don't get me wrong, D16A8 and ZC dohc motors are both the same. spec wise but have different valve cover

im pretty sure that they have the same exact vavle cover d16a8/9 and the zc...from what it looks like it says ZC on the timing belt cover but i need a pic of the actual engine code to be sure since you cant assume anything with just a cover since they get changed all so easily...

I have a D16A8, im from australia.
I need to clarify this, as ive been asking myself this all the time.

Is the ZC identical to my motor?
Same specs?

From what ive heard, the ZC has a slightly higher fuel map

Can anyone clarify this?
