Proper clutch break in?
What is the proper way to break in a clutch. (I know no beating on it).
I got a clutch kit for free it the clutch dics and pp were staped seco but the flywheel is not stamped anything and its a light weight flywheel.
So what I am getting at is how many miles should I go before I start to get gears?

take it easy for the first 300-400 miles no burn outs and vary the rpms try not to drive in the same rpms for too long. really the most important time during break in is the first 20 mins of driving. you should not really use a light wieght fly wheel with a stock clutch

That's pretty much wrong. The clutch doesn't give a **** what rpm it's at once engaged. But nice try.
The break-in of the clutch depends on the type of clutch. Organic and kevlar need a few hundred miles of niceness, the resins in the kevlar rise to the surface and make it all but infinite in lifespan. Metallic clutches need a little break-in just to bed properly and become flat with the flywheel, but the compound does not undergo any changes so heat isn't bad for them.

thats what we tell the customers when we replace a clutch at honda... then again i did replace the motor too (along with the clutch and flywheel)

Well I put the clutch in today no big problems just got to break it in the clutch has kevlar strands in.
So should I just go about 400 miles before I can have fun and hit vtec.
Never thought that a light weight flywheel could make such a diffrence I love it
