Default obd0 ZC (DOHC) to obd1 conversion possible???

ok am building a dohc ZC and looking to swap it into my 95 civic. the motor was going in my 88 crx but now having some mixed thoughts about it. But i do not know if this is possible,???, the motor that is in the civic is a d15b7 . i figured if i used all the sensors on the motor that is in the civic i would be fine even if i had to make a plate for the throttle body so that i could use that throttle body. the dizzy patterns are the same just would have to repin and figure out the fire order right?? and the last thing i wanted to know is if the tranny would bolt up from the zc to the 1.5,,,? so i wouldnt have to do hydro conversion..Oh yeah are the spines different. input need badly. thanks jt

you dont neeed to change out all the sensors or the throttle body. obd is mostly in the ecu and dizzy. probably just gota change the fuel injectors to the obd1 and the 4 wire o2. is there even a obd1 zc? i guess you could always tune a ecu to run that motor. and the 95 hydro tranny will bolt up to the zc.

No you dont have to change out sensors! Hell im running an obd2 motor, obd1 wiring in an obd0 car, you'd be lost for sure. Just try to find a JDM obd1 ZC distributor, then you can use a PO6 ecu if you have to from a 92-95 DX, LX civic

like i said most of the sensors are not obd dependant. the only sensors that changed with the obd's is o2, fuel injectors (actually can be ran any obd too complex for you thoug), dizzy, and of course the ecu itself.

obd1 conversion is easy you have to use the motor mount and bracket off your obd1 motor for the zc to bolt up, or else it will sit wrong. the injectors are to be your old ones, as for the throttle body it will not bolt up but if you have a throttle body mounted map sensor just add a vacuum line to your old map sensor and mount it else where, now for the hard part.............. the distributor.............. you need to have a 92-95 zc twin cam distributor it can be found the only good thing is that your stock dizzy parts bolt up to the 92-95 zc twin cam dizzy...... the obd0 one is missing two bolt holes for a sensor in the distributor good luck
