See the red tab that "locks" the sunroof into place? Mine was broken before I bought the car, and now that its summer I'd love to fix it.

I went to the Honda dealership and I was told that the manual sunroof was not a factory option, that it must have been dealer or 3rd party installed after the car was sold.

Could (more like would) a glass / standard automotive shop replace the broken part and fix the sunroof? Or, could anyone tell me who made the sunroof and where I could get a replacement part? I'm keeping my eye open at the wreckers, because these pop top sunroofs are pretty common on a lot of EF's, but no luck yet. Your advice is hugely appreciated!!!!

try phoning around body shops they shoudl hook you up with the local sunroof installers in your area. thats deffinatly aftermarket.

We reecntly acquired a 89 crx dx with a aftermarket sunroof. Same problem. Unless it's the same brand the shop carries, more than likely, they cant do anything for you except replace the whole unit with one of their own.

We just welded in a piece of steel.
