lexan windows?

Re: lexan windows? (OldSchoolCrxSiR)
I work at a glass shop in ohio, and we do auto glass too. Im sure if you found a place like that were you live they could do it too. Basicly what we do is take out the window you want to replace w/ lexan. And make a pattern, then we just cut down the lexan to fit the car and urithan it in. It is about a about a 6-7 hour job (car has to sit for 3 hours to dry) if you take you time. The price of the lexan would be about $100-150 then you would have to add i labor. You could probly find a place in the yellow pages if you look. Anyplace that sells plexi or glass will probly carrie lexan. If not they can most likley order it for you

Theres a link that has them...its for the back half for a CRX. Its a little pricey but i would get it if i was gonna make a full-race car but if its your daily driver dont waste your money.
**Oh ****...my bad...i forgot that the 87 CRX's are different ...i guess your gonna have to find a place that does it..and have them customize it.. **

Do they make them just for the rear side windows now? I know they always had side windows and rear window, but I would assume removing the rear glass means no defroster which won't work for me. Are these just the 2 side pieces?

Get the BEST quality Lexan from Home Depot. $60 dollars a sheet and you'll need two. Hardest part is taking the windows out of you don't have the right tool. Just take them out and use it as a template. Drill your holes and rivet them in.
But really, don't do it unless its gonna be full race. Not worth it.
