Default just bought ef, no heat, quick ?

All right so I just picked up a 91 sedan for a daily driver, if I can keep my self from putting my 22 in it any way, but the heat doesn't come on, heat does vent through the system while driving, but the switch activates NOTHING, so is the blower motor bad or is it just the switch that needs replacing?

p.s. its cold.

did you try checking the fuse? because i had the same problem i also thought it was my blower motor, but it turned out being a blown fuse. good luck. recommend couple layers of clothing.

Try to tap the blower motor with a hammer, if it comes on you will need a new blower motor. if nothing happens then you might have a blower motor resistor problem. If you get air from the vent in say speed 1 and 2 but not 3 and 4 then its the resistor. Just giving some troubleshooting advice if you havnt tried it.

Just out of curiosity, where are the resistors for the fan speeds located? Only have speeds 2, 3, and 4...I miss my speed 1 .

Not sure as to our cars, I have never had to do mine or one at all on a civic/crx. On most cars they should be around the blower motor and usually have like 4 spring lookin things.

Thats what it looks like on my DA when I replaced the blower motor. $50 or so to replace the resistors from autozone.

I drove 200+ miles a week across state with no heat for a few weeks. Don't recirculate the air, it helps.
