You can pull them to physically see if they're spraying fuel or get a "pulse" tester from an auto parts store to see if they're getting an electrical pulse to fire.

Or you can look straight down the intake and see to. I have a video that will show you...

so a pulse tester would work to see if they work?

or should i just replace both of them?

where can i find both of them if i do buy them?

also would this cause my car to overheat?

Slow down!

Did you check if they're firing like the video shows?

You can get them on eBay, any of the Honda dealer links in the FAQ or the classifieds here.

No, this will not cause your car to overheat. Usually that is due to a bad thermostat, cooling fan or air in the coolant.

hmmm well i changed the thermostat and how would you get all the air out of the coolent?

i know one of my two fans arent working.

the only problem is idk how to pull apart the fan motor and what not to replace the motor if that is the problem with it.

Which fan isn't working? The A/C (driver's side) or cooling fan (passenger's side)?

To get the air out of the coolant, you need to run the vehicle with the bleed screw open until just coolant comes out. The bleed screw is on the water inlet at the head where your upper radiator hose goes to.

Also, when you finish bleeding the coolant, take the radiator cap off and let the system warm up again, then add any necessary coolant.

To test the fan, hook it directly to the battery. If it runs, the fan is good. You can also test the fan switch by removing it and submerse the end of it in coolant, then heat it up. There should be continuity between the two terminals at temps above 191 F only. To test the relay itself, measure continuity between terminals A and B while keeping power to terminals C and D, there should be no continuity.

Like this:

(Top of relay with clip holder up)
AC
BD

BTW I got all of this from my "CRX Workshop Manual", you can find it for free download online, just Google it.

u have two.....look at the front of your carburator/intake thing...just tryin to explain the best way...i just changed mine.......well take off your intake tube and the thing the tube is attached to...alll the plastic....now look at the two things sticking towards you with a plug attached...now take the bracket that is holding each one on and then use vice grips and where the plastic cap is ...take cap off...and with the grips pull stright forward....it may take a little muscle....that is how u remove them....assemble them in reverse....hope this helps

Did you try following the instructions from the CRX Workshop Manual yet? Have you downloaded it? All you answers lie inside.
