How loud is a garret t-25 when it starts to spool?
hi everyone i was just wondering how loud is a Garret t-25 when it starts to spool up, if someone has a video or too i would greatly appreciate it and one more thing if you push more boost is it louder??? please help and thank you. i like it when a turbo is loud before it hits full boost. (Its going on a d16a1 block with a ZC head.)

run an open air filter or run a mesh screen and a straight exhaust tube with no muffler and you'll here that bitch loud and clear. also they are loudest when they start to spool, and when they spool down

ok, i might try that... also i figured you will be able to hear it if the car is super quiet and the turbo is going to be mounted i think somewhere close to the top of the motor. so i should be able to hear it im also going to run open down pipe.

well.... im kinda new to this so im actually tearing the d16a1 with a ZC head on it tearing it apart and it has forged zc pistons in it so im going with some low compression pistons which will i think should bring it down to 8.5.1 ratio is it true that lower compresion the more power u make?? hopefully i think i should be making almost 250hp and im tuning on chrome.

Actually, the lower the compression, the LESS power you make...but the safer it is to run higher levels of boost on the same type of fuel (typically people talk about pump gas).

t25 is gonna struggle to get you 250whp. plus its not gonna sound noticably different then any other turbo. why does it matter what it sounds like? do some more research. i know everyone has to start somewhere but you should probabyl look more into your setup and find out what will work the best instead of what makes the coolest noise. also lower compression isnt going to help anything really.

Alright i'l do that.... of course i know the t25 is a very small turbo so i cant do much with it, i forgot to mention the motor is simi built so i dont know i seen a fully built d16a1 with ZC head (same setup as mine) and it saw exactly 400 at the crank and im guessing like 375 of 380 at the wheels which i think is pretty impressive for a D series anyways.. so it will be a fun car regardless and what i mean is im swaping my Stock d15b2 for the other so it will be a fun car regardless... i ran a 11.067 at an 1/8th mile stock

x2 the higher compression the more power but you nee to build up the motor more and get it tuned right!
lower compression = safer to boost
