Help cable to hydro
Need help EF guys. Swapping from B series cable to Hydro tranny and mid shaft doesn't go in tranny. Which do I need?
Part 2
Got a hydro half shaft for my hydro b series swap of tranny and the shaft will not go in my tranny
What can be wrong with tranny? Is it the LSD that makes the diference in which half shaft to use?
Was told it is a JDM B16 Tranny with a Quaife LSD.

Re: Help cable to hydro
I do know there are some differences in the number of bolts which connect the lsd to the final drive gear and (maybe more important) there are 2 different sizes bearings for the lsd to fit in.
Maybe the latter is the problem. Could imagine if you have the smaller bearings, the hole in the lsd is smaller and the half shaft is thicker...
I'm not sure this is the case with a b16a2 tranny. You could check the internet and find a dealer for lsd's or gear set-ups. If there is a difference they give a note in the product description that you have to measure the bearings or count the holes which bolts the lsd to the gear.
This could give you an idea of what is wrong. You could also check at a supplier for drive shafts if there is a difference .
I've just checked the internet quickly and have seen that there are 27 and 28 spline half shafts! Both for eg/ek civic. I think there is your problem...
