heat doesnt work and its 10 degrees, help please
my car warms up and the heat starts to work, but shortly after it turns to ICE and i have to turn it off. has anybody else had this problem?
sometimes i can smell coolant too. sounds like a heater core problem to me.
thank you in advance.

The only thing i know of is that the **** might not be working. look under the dash on the passenger side and see if the heater switch fully activates itself when you turn the heat on. i have to do this manually every time, kind of a PITA but what ya gonna do.

Re: heat doesnt work and its 10 degrees, help please (TDRacing)
I had this problem in my 91 si a few weeks ago so i did 2 things. 1st i opened the radiator cap b4 i started it and let it run with the cap off for a few minutes until it started to get hot and coolant started to rise. that helped but then i remembered that i had been running a 50/50 water and antifreeze mix so i drained my system down a little and filled it up with straight antifreeze. just a few tips that might help you out .
