Default D16z6 smoking...need some advise

Alright HT I have a pretty dumb and complicated story but I am sure you guys will be able to help.

I bought a 90 Civic STD hatch about a month ago from the original owner who had spun the timing belt. So I went out and bought a bare d16z6 from a guy who said it did not smoke at all...and i guess i believed him since i bought but of course there are always some doubts.

Ok so i did the DPFI to MPFI conversion and bought a obd0 to obd1 conversion with an auto p28 converted to manual and the wiring seems to be working fine. The only code i get is code 8 so I am going to get another dizzy but the problem that concerns me is the fact that the motor idles as if it has a vacuum leak and smokes pretty bad at cold start up and at higher rpms. To the point where i cant drive it.

So last night I did a compression test and got 185-175-175-185 which seems fine to me.

I think the problem lies with somehow coolant entering the combustion chamber. I am trying hard to believe the guy in that it is not the headgasket and i believe is it leaking into the combustion chamber before the headgasket.

I believe it is occurring due to my intake setup. I have the stock z6 intake manifold but I am using an obd2 B16 throttle body (it was the only one i had) which does not have a FITV and also using the b16 EACV. I am also using a new intake manifold gasket.

Today, thinking this might be the problem, I ran the car for about 3 mins, turned it off, took off intake and throttle body and looked into the IM and sure enough it was wet on the inside.

So my questions are:
1. Would the missing FITV cause my idle to surge? On cold startup it will idle fine for about a min then begin surging.

2. Which gasket do i need to have the B16 throttle body on the z6 manifold? Or should i just try and get a z6 TB?

3. What are ways for me to determine where this leak might be coming from?

Thanks for any of your help guys...or ladies?

1.) Yes

3.) Leak-Down Test

Update: changed pcv valve. Idles fine. So you do not need the fitv. But still smoking although less
