IT will bolt right up, but to get the most out of the new head, do the MPFI swap.

Not only will it bolt right up, the heads are Identical except for the cam and valvesprings.

Since they are identical except for the springs and cam, I've thrown an A6 onto B2 blocks several times.

Use a Y8 head gasket while you're at it to bring up the CR a little.

so, does that mean you can just buy cams and valvesprings for a a6 and put them in a b2 head?

I can't seem to get a clear answer if there is or is not a cam gear issue....anyone?

Cam gears are the same, but the cams are indexed differently.... So at best you will be off a little bit on timeing. Its possible to do, just not simple.
