Default d15b1/z6 mini me

ok so i have a bad valve seal on my head and with a friend giving me his z6 head im gona do a mine me
i know i need
z6 timing belt
z6 head gasket
and y8 cam gear
as far as the mpfi swap what all do i need and should i switch to obd 1 or can i stay obd o

If you are going to do a mini me swap, just convert the car to OBD1 so you can run a P28 ECU from a d16z6, in which you will need OBD0-1 conversion harness for Distributor as well as the ECU.

Below is a link how to convert the car from DPFI to MPFI. It's actually not that tough at all.

theres a guy on ebay that makes the harnesses for the swap and they run about 135. i thought it was worht it, completely plug and play.

he also makes the jumper harnesses, but im sure you could probably find one a little cheaper somewhere

i may be getting a hole z6 for free and i was wondering if i could use a obd1 engine harness instead of doing the conversion

no. you have to convert your car to mpfi as the factory wiring is wired for 2 injectors

but if i got rid of all the factory engine harness and replaced it with and obd1 engine harness i wouldnt have to worry about that

to do that you will also need to replace the chassis harness....or at least change a lot of plugs and add lots of new wiring.
