I won a 91 si with jdm b16. When i bought it it also had a wir tuck. But my big concern is the check engine light doesnt come on. I took the cluster out, and seen that the bulb for check engine was blown. So i went ahead and replaced it. put it back in and it didnt come on when i turned the key over.....now im confussed....borrowed a friends cluster and put it in and still did no come on....

SO NOW MY QUESTION IS

How do i go about or what do i check to see what going on and get it to work .....Thanks in advance

Have you checked the wire from the light to the ecu?

Are you still obd0? If so the ECU will flash any codes. If not, well that might be bad. If you aren't throwing any codes and the cars running fine I wouldn't worry about it. Id take my time figuring out what the problem is then fix it accordingly.

Easiest thing to do is to figure out which wire is for the CEL then I'd just replace it with a fresh wire. Eliminates any wiring harness problems that way which can take hours upon hours to fix if you try to find the break and solder it.

I think it would be easier to check it with an ohm meter. Might even be able to see a problem with it near the ecu since someones been jacking with the wiring.

Set it to detect continuity. Then go from the CEL pin out at the ecu to the CEL pin in at the cluster. If you have continuity you know the wire is good in itself. Then I would check that wire to ground, if it has continuity. If it does with ground I'd replace the wire.
