Cheap jdm front end
I am looking to do a siR front end but don't want to spend crazy money for a legit one. I found a couple local people who have them cheap but keep playing games. Is there any cheap knock off version of the front end? It doesn't have to be name brand. I just want the front bumper and fenders. The hood I can get from vis in carbon. I would like to fit it all on usdm spec. If you guys not any sites to get these things from for a good price please let me know.

Re: Cheap jdm front end
our USDM are cheap knockoffs of the JDM
Might try canadian parts, source is a bit more consistent
Or jsut dont do JDM parts, because the cost doesnt outway the cosmetic or personal benefit

Pretty sure you dont need to change the fenders unless you want them for the sidemarkers. You can always cut holes in your current fenders for the sidemarkers or just go without them.

Re: Cheap jdm front end
The front end has nothing to do with the fenders and how the headlights and corner lenes bolt to them. In 1990 when the new style came out both here and the jdm version oversea's the corner lenes changed how they mount, but in both cases, they bolted to the headlight brackets, NOT the fenders.
The fenders are all the same from 1988-1991, even the jdm version with the exception of the cut outs for the side markers.
As far as front ends go, OEM is pretty much your only option except for the knock off hood. You will need front bumper, turn signal lenes, and headlights at the very least

Re: Cheap jdm front end
I guess I did word badly. So there is no company that makes a jdm look alike front bumper to fit a usdm spec car? Kind like the way they have the vis carbon hood? Also if I wanted side maker lights in the fenders how do I add them? And how good do they actually look? All I want is the fenders bumper and hood. Idc about the headlights.

there are no jdm replica bumper out there. if you had a hatch, you'd be able to use the jdm ef9 bumper with the stock front end. get an siR style hood and some edm headlight(i think) that has no nipples on the lens. but the price you'd pay for those, i'd rather get the jdm front end itself.
but since you have a rex (your user name) no jdm bumper would fit the usdm front end without the rest of the pieces.
the fenders are alll the same. all was added is the sidemarker. able to be purchased on ebay, passwordjdm jdmshit what ever..time a dozen. cut it yourself and wire it as you please.
ludeef: yes you did (all gravy)

You will care!! The jdm front end is longer, you NEED the lights to fit!!!!!! The hood won't even close proper without them
Not exactly......all the regular models had that front end too.....Si, SiR, 1.5X. I don't know why everybody keeps calling them all SiR

Re: Cheap jdm front end
Really? I thought there would just be a gap in between the hood and headlights since the USDM headlights are shorter in length compared to the JDM ones. But anyways it will look retarded if the op had just the hood and bumper.I don't see the point in getting new fenders if the ones he has are still good.

Shop around, and you'll get a good deal on the parts that you'll need. I paid $150 for the front bumper with support, turn signals and lip; Paid $200 for the headlights including the corner markers; And got the VIS carbon hood for free from a friend (has some stress cracks in the corner. I plan to repair and paint match it anyways). The test fitment pictured includes my 88 SI fenders as well. I still need a proper t-bar as I refuse to space mine out with washers.

I paid $700 for an absolutely mint front end....no dings, or rust at all. Front cut was complete with good a/c condensor, corner len's, front lip, subframe, rad, vin plate, t bar and intake tubing
