Bike rack on CRX ? searched and only found 3 useless results.....
I have an '89 CRX and really want to see some pics of bike racks on 88-91 CRXS. I'm not sure how many kinds there are for the rex but either way pics are going to be crucial in my decision. I have a '26 mountain bike I just bought and it's going to work much longer taking it in and out of the rex. any pics you guys can find or better yet, members with this actual setup to really answer some questions I have, thanks guys

i got thule roof racks on my CRX.
the distance between the bars is pretty short. but ive used it for hauling a kayak, and my snowboards with the right attachments.
im sure it would work just fine with the right bike attachments.

thule makes an extender that makes the rear bar farther back on short roofed cars should work fine with all the right thule components

exactly, however stuff that overhangs towards the back limits the hatch opening. with my snowboard or kayak it wasnt a big problem, put it on last and take it off first.
just something to consider.

Here's my Yakima towers and bars on my old CRX HF. When I put on the bike racks on them they in NO WAY interfered with the openning/closing of my rear hatch.
Other angles of it:

Thanks man, that does help! I pretty much need to see the rack on the car to decide which one I'll go with. I have a "whale tail" wings west wing for the rear but don't want to get a rack that will interfere with it. The roof rack may be my only option given my circumstances.
So I guess that roof rack never let any water leak in during a bad storm?? I ask cause I had one simple XM radio antenna wire running through my door jam and that one little area would still allow rain to drip in during bad storms so it just seems that the roof rack will cause the same problem, am I wrong???? ( I hope)

I ran a Thule on my CRX for years, no it doesn't damage anything and no don't use the bar extenders. Yes the bars are somewhat close togeher but most attachments will work; I used the fork mount ones and threw my front wheel in the back.
