Re: B16A1 into a '91 Civic Hatchback
........I'm back....
with another question.
Best transmission?
Y1,S1,J1 - which one should I go for? This car will be used for some racing, but will also be my daily driver.
Also, which ECU would be best? the PR3 or the Pwo? Also, I read somewhere that there was a cutoff at a certain speed on those, would it be best to go w/ an aftermarket ECU? if so, which one? Or is there a better way to get around that?
Thanks for all the help

Re: B16A1 into a '91 Civic Hatchback (rage)
for your labor question- its usually about 12 hours- give or take a few.
the tranny- S1 has really short gears, at 75mph you will be at ABOUT 4,000 rpm which can get loud and annoying if you have an exhuast.
The y1 would be my first choice- but thats just me- try and get one with a LSD; you'll love it
good luck

90-93 Integra Inremediate shaft and axles....... I've got 92 GSRs, perfect fit, no modifications.
YS1 tranny w/LSD if you want an lsd, but the J1/S1 trannies are pretty bad *** as well......

All JDM cars have a cut off at 180 km/h (works out to about 112 mph). You'll need to get it chipped to go faster ....
