LOL How is it not the same? Wire + Metal Brackets + Screws. It may not look as cool but if you've got the ingenuity (sp?) and the **** lying around I would call you stupid if you didn't make your own.

is there anything to making the ground centralized. sounds stupid to me. a good ground is a good ground right?

Not really but sorta kinda. A lot of ground kits run everything to one centered metal pillar that would attach to a part of the chassis that has been totally sanded to create a bare metal surface (less resistance). I assume if you use good wire (I'm using 8gauge) and run to seperate ground pounts (making sure all of them are free of paint and sanded to bare metal) it would do the same thing.

All grounds are grounded centrally... to the chassis.

Re-doing your grounds does do very little for performance. It is more of a reliability mod.

On cars as old as EF's or other cars were the wiring gets corroded redoing ground wires is a good idea. Redoing your grounds will prevent possible problems with the electrical systems. If your car has bad grounds or frayed wiring, the likelyhood of blowing fuses increases.

EDIT: IN most cases improving the grounds on your car may help get rid of some problems with hesitation.
